TRUVAC Paradigm - Daylighting

Utility Locating

Vacuum excavators are the go-to solution for safely uncovering underground utilities without causing damage. Known as safe digging techniques, these excavation methods include daylighting, trenching, and potholing. Whether using air or hydro excavation, vacuum excavators ensure the utmost safety and efficiency in satisfying safe digging requirements. By exposing underground facilities, they provide a visual identification of their location, condition, material, and other characteristics.

TRUVAC Slot Trenching

Trenching

Slot Trenching is the perfect solution for those looking to dig narrow trenches without disrupting the surrounding earth. Ideal for utility installation, trench system structure, and existing underground utilities, it's particularly useful when installing sprinkler and irrigation systems or locating and exposing underground utilities without the risk of damaging pre-existing systems or lines. With repairs made quickly and safely, new utility lines can be installed with minimal concerns for safety or service interruption. By digging trenches to specifications, trenching also reduces costs for backfill, concrete encasement, asphalt patching, and maintenance.

Landscape, Plumbing, and Municipal Applications

Safe digging has become an essential aspect of various industries, including landscaping, plumbing, and municipal work. With the availability of a wide range of safe-digging applications, professionals can now easily remove non-hazardous liquids such as flood water, drilling spoils, and catch basins without causing any damage to the surrounding environment. This is particularly crucial in landscaping, where mature trees and plants have taken years to grow, and any damage to their roots can be devastating. Safe digging practices help to minimize the risk of damage to these hard-to-replace mature landscape plantings, ensuring that they continue to thrive for years to come. So, whether you're a landscaper, plumber, contractor, or municipal worker, safe digging should be an integral part of your operations to ensure that you maintain a sustainable and healthy environment.

TRUVAC Cold Weather Excavation

Cold Weather Excavation

Cold weather digging is a process where pressurized heated water is injected into frozen soil to immediately thaw the surface frost and cut deeply through frozen ground, creating a slurry that can be quickly removed with an industrial vacuum. Hydroexcavation is the preferred method for eliminating winter downtime in sub-zero temperatures and harsh environments.

TRUVAC Subsurface Utility Engineering

Subsurface Utility Engineering (S.U.E.) Test Holing & Mapping

Locating underground utilities using non-destructive vacuum excavation meets the highest Quality Level A (QL-A) demanded by Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) providers. SUE standards, developed by the American Society of Civil Engineers, are a process to manage risks associated with utility coordination of more than 100 billion feet of buried utilities across the United States. To achieve the most precise utility information, test holing to expose the horizontal and vertical location of utilities must be performed using minimally intrusive excavation to minimize the potential for utility damage. When equipped with the optional Air Excavation package, the TRUVAC Paradigm® digs potholes and backfills immediately with the vacuum-excavated dirt. If air excavation isn’t for you, TRUVAC offers a selection of hydroexcavation products to meet SUE’s highest standards and safely excavate.

TRUVAC Lateral Rehab

Lateral Rehab

Across America’s oldest infrastructure, cleanouts do not exist or are a challenge to locate. To keep the lateral repairs as trenchless as possible, municipalities will specify new cleanouts to be installed in conjunction with trenchless technology, using hydro excavation. Causing minimal to no disruption, lateral rehab is the less destructive way to reach rear easement sewers or facilities located below hardscaping. When installed, the cleanout gives the municipality and future utility contractors an access point to access the lateral, as well as the line if needed.
